Absences
Please call the school at 408-377-5480 ext. 3103 on the first day of your child's absence. Students are responsible for the missed work. Parents may contact the school and make arrangements to obtain homework. Please contact the school before noon for homework to be picked up at dismissal time.
Arrival Times
Fammatre's gates open 8:05 AM. No supervision is provided prior to the gates opening. To ensure students' safety, we ask that you do not send your children to school before this time, as there is no proper supervision for them.
Students are expected to arrive to their classrooms by 8:15 AM. Any student who arrives to their classroom after 8:15 AM. must pick up a tardy slip from the office before checking into their classroom. It is important that your child be on time to school every day. Tardiness results in a child missing necessary instruction and the interruption of the class. Please sign in at the office before going to the classroom when you are late. Chronic tardiness will result in a referral to the principal and can be deemed truancy. Teachers may keep students after school to make up missed work.

-
Independent Study will not be granted during the annual state testing window.
-

Student Sign Out
Release of a child from school may only be made to a parent, legal guardian or someone listed on the emergency card. Release to persons other than the above-mentioned may be made with written permission of parents or legal guardians. Anyone taking a child out of school during school hours must sign them out in the office.
Visitors and Volunteers
All visitors and volunteers must check in at the office, regardless of their purpose for being on campus. This is for the protection of our students and to avoid unnecessary interruptions in the classrooms. If you have an item (lunch, homework, backpack etc.,) to drop off to your child please be sure to stop in at the office and leave the item with the school secretary or office assistant. We try to keep classroom interruptions to a minimum and will call into classrooms and let students know the item waiting for them right before their morning break or lunch recess. Do not bring lunches or forgotten homework directly to classrooms. Drop them off in the school office.
Medical & Dental Appointments
Please make appointments before or after school hours. If this is not possible and your child must be released from school, please send a note to the teacher and ask that your child be sent to the office at a designated time. This will eliminate classroom interruption. All students must meet parents/guardians in the office and be signed out before being released from school.
